Ivoclar Smile Award 2026
1. Organiser
The Ivoclar Smile Award 2026 (“Competition”) is organised by Ivoclar Vivadent AG, Bendererstrasse 2, 9494 Schaan, Liechtenstein (“Ivoclar”).
By participating, participants accept these Terms and Conditions as binding.
2. Eligibility
Dentists and dental technicians who participate either as a team in the “Proven Masters” category or as an individual in the “Rising Talents” category are eligible to take part.
Participation is possible worldwide, but only to the extent that this is permitted under the relevant national legal systems.
Participants shall have the necessary professional qualifications.
Ivoclar reserves the right to refuse participation in individual cases if there are legal reasons to the contrary or if the fair conduct of the Competition would be jeopardised.
3. Participation Period
The Competition begins on November 1, 2025.
The submission deadline is April 30, 2026.
The award ceremony is scheduled for summer 2026.
4. Participation Requirements and Submissions
Participation requires the timely submission of a suitable case via the upload tool provided for this purpose.
In the “Proven Masters” category, a clinical case shall be submitted by a team of dentist and dental technician, comprising at least six all-ceramic units in the maxilla and fabricated exclusively using materials from the IPS e.max family and/or IPS Ivocolor.
In the “Rising Talents” category, a case containing at least two and a maximum of four all-ceramic anterior units, fabricated exclusively using materials from the IPS e.max family and/or IPS Ivocolor, and supplemented by a manual or digital layering diagram shall be submitted.
All submissions must be independently created and free of third-party rights.
It is the responsibility of the participants to ensure that the necessary rights are safeguarded and consents have been obtained for all image and video material used – in particular from the patients being treated.
Patient personal data shall be anonymised in such a way that identification is impossible.
5. Jury and Evaluation
The cases submitted will be evaluated by an international panel of experts consisting of renowned dentists and dental technicians.
The jury members evaluate the submissions anonymously and solely on the basis of the materials submitted.
The decisive factors are the initial clinical situation, the quality of the preparation and execution, the traceability of the individual work steps and the overall aesthetic result.
The jury’s decisions are final and binding.
A judicial review of the selection decisions is excluded.
6. Prizes
The winners receive different prizes depending on the category.
The “Proven Masters” category includes cash prizes, the amount of which is specified in the invitation to the Competition.
However, in countries where the awarding of cash prizes is not permitted for regulatory or legal reasons, Ivoclar reserves the right to make an equivalent non-cash benefit or a donation to a charitable organisation in the name of the winner instead of a cash payment.
Education-oriented prizes are awarded in the “Rising Talents” category, including exclusive further training programmes in laboratories of international key opinion leaders, special training courses at the Ivoclar Academy and professional training in the field of dental photography.
All winners will also be invited to an exclusive honouring event, where the official award ceremony will take place and the individual trophy will be presented.
The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be paid out in cash, unless this is expressly provided for or required for legal reasons.
7. Rights of Use
By participating, participants grant Ivoclar the non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual right to use the submitted materials extensively.
This includes the reproduction, distribution, publication, exhibition and making available to the public, as well as the editing, translation, shortening or combination with other content.
Ivoclar is authorised to use the materials in all known and future media forms, including but not limited to print, digital media, social media, events, training platforms and publications.
Ivoclar is also authorised to pass on the materials to affiliated companies, partners, dealers and media and to have them used for communication and marketing purposes.
The participants guarantee that they own all rights to the submitted materials and that the use by Ivoclar does not infringe any third-party rights.
Participants remain authorised to use the submitted materials themselves, provided that this does not infringe any third-party rights.
8. Data Protection
Ivoclar collects and processes participants’ personal data solely for the purpose of organising the Competition.
This includes, in particular, contact details and the information provided as part of the submission.
The legal basis for the processing is the contract (these Terms & Conditions) with the participants.
Participants are entitled to request information about their data and to request its rectification, erasure or restriction of processing.
Further information on data processing and participants’ rights can be found in Ivoclar’s privacy policy (Data Protection | Ivoclar LI).
9. Liability
Ivoclar accepts no liability for technical faults, loss of data or incomplete transmissions that are beyond Ivoclar’s control.
Participants shall indemnify and hold Ivoclar harmless against all claims by third parties that may arise from the submission or use of the submitted materials.
