Prof. Dr. Daniel Edelhoff is an internationally recognized German dentist and prosthodontist. From 2014 to 2025 he was the Director and Chair of the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Materials Science at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich. With over three decades of experience, he is considered a worldwide expert in adhesive techniques, all-ceramic restorations, implant prosthetics, and digital workflows. His research and clinical innovations have significantly shaped modern prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry.
In addition to his clinical and scientific work, Daniel is a dedicated academic and thought leader. He has served as Academic Dean of the School of Dental Medicine at LMU, Visiting Professor at Oregon Health & Science University, and Associate Editor of the journal Clinical Oral Investigations.
He is also an active member of several prestigious professional societies, including the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), as well as Fellow of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (AAED), and the International College of Dentists (ICD).
As chair of international conferences, Daniel sets benchmarks for evidence-based dentistry and is regarded as a leading voice in modern prosthodontics and esthetic dental care.
